Day 322 – Megabyte Me

I ended up doing quite a bit of maintenance on my main workstation today, so I figured this theme would be fitting, in the absence of something better. Funny how these things decide to have problems when it’s least convenient for you.

I build most of my own computers, so they’re actually pretty easy for me to diagnose and fix, and truth be told I do enjoy tinkering with them.

What happened? Well, since you asked…

(Pardon me for this sad attempt at poetry)

The RAID array broke down,
due to a hard drive that went floppy.
Since it was a good time to upgrade,
I spent some time shopping.

A megabyte out of my check book,
means new drives are now spinnin’.
Storing all our hard work,
More bids we’ll be winning.

I like it — I never thought of a computer as being so colorful. Hope all is working great for you now…

Oh yeah, it’s working better than ever now. However, I wasn’t thinking colorful as much as “rats nest” when I took this picture. 🙂
