Day 317 – Juggling Act

Life  is a Juggling Act

One of the things I love about digital photography is how easy it is to augment reality. Can I really juggle? Not even a little. It just seemed like a fun and interesting composition to put together at some point.

Ok, so the only real parts of the original picture were me, the bottle of flavored olive oil (in the air, left) and the pineapple. All the others we added from subsequent exposures where I simply stood in the same place and tossed the object for the picture. Then, in Photoshop, I just clipped the objects out of the exposures of the jar of jam, the mango, and the cereal box and placed them into the original exposure with me, organizing them in a way that would look at least somewhat realistic. With the camera on a tripod and fixed lighting and the same settings for each picture, the lighting angles and size proportions of the objects would all be fairly close to correct.
