Day 157 – Temecula Wine & Balloon Festival

The alarm went off at 4:15 AM today. For a brief moment or two, I wondered if it was worth it. We got over it and dragged out butts out of bed and headed to Temecula for the Wine and Balloon Festival 6:30 AM balloon launch. At that time of day, the balloons were the only things happening, which was fine with us. Fair food and wine tasting doesn’t exactly sound like a great way to start the day.

I would definitely go to this event again. It’s a great way to start the day, albeit a little early. I even got to help one crew with their balloon landing. There are plenty of great pictures, so if you’d like to see them, click on over to my smugmug gallery for the event. In all, I took more than 250 pictures; however, I just posted a little more than a dozen of my favorites.

What a gorgeous picture. It brings back memories of ballooning over the Australian outback. The colors are so vivid against the blue sky. You really captured it.
