Day 156 – The Camp Pendleton Mud Run

When I heard about the Camp Pendleton Mud Run this week, I thought “what a great photo opportunity”, which turned out to be a huge understatement. What a cool event! Runners compete on 10k course with extreme terrain, obstacles like a slick, muddy wall, and a pit of mud that must be crossed on your belly. Teams and individuals can compete but teams must finish together, which adds an extra cool aspect to the race. This team nears the finish in Viking style; some are joyous, and some are just plain exhausted. Check out the runner-up picture – funny!
