Day 85 – Golf Course Zen

Susan and I took a walk tonight (with Bailey of course) at Encinitas Ranch golf course. There are trails woven into, and around the course which provide great views of the ocean, the course and high panoramic views to the east.

What strikes me about this photo is how zen-like it is. I’ve never viewed any golf course and though of it that way, but you have water (views of the ocean), stone and sand, grass and trees, and the sand trap even provides the element of pathways common to zen gardens. I have no idea if this was intentional, but with the way I golf, a relaxed zen state is a necessity, albeit very hard to maintain.

Beautiful, the swirling of the water around the island is almost too perfect to be real.

Thanks! That’s not water though – it’s one of the sand traps on the golf course. Amazing huh?

It is very “zen” like – the composition of the photo is just stunning! I love how you got the rock in the foreground ! Great Shot !
