Day 51 – Vineyard in Bloom

Taken Feb. 20, 2010

Lodi, CA – One of the many vineyards in the area, with some very old vines and wild mustard in bloom. The drive from San Diego to Lodi is around 7 hours, but it’s well worth it when you get to hang out with old friends and take in scenes like this. The picture doesn’t do a justice to being there, but it’s a fair capture.

Much of the area is starting to bloom, but this particular field was just on fire with this wild mustard. We tasted a couple of the areas wines with bread and cheese, and were treated to eye candy like this all around. Amazing.
